There are not many thing that I am addicted to. But it is always usually something sweet and these banana cupcakes from Icing on the Cake are NO exception. I even tried to recreate these banana cupcakes and I did them no justice. Because you know what’s funny? What a lot of homemade cupcakes need? Buttermilk. and who has time to make buttermilk? or to find it in stores.
However, I did find a great dupe recipe for the perfect banana cupcakes with cream cheese frosting from Chelsea’s Messy Apron. I never thought that I would like banana cupcakes but if you are thinking about the best, most moist, cupcake you have ever had I promise you it will be a banana cupcake. Try one.
Making banana cupcakes are actually very similar to making banana bread and take mostly all of the same ingredients and you can even add in chocolate chips if you would like. Personally I like them just how they are. But I am clearly up for trying new things because I never thought that a banana flavored cupcake would be my favorite kind.
