Breakfast is known best as the first meal you have after a night’s sleep and is usually the food that you eat in the morning before a day at school or work. But when did breakfast really become a thing? It is said that the idea of actual breakfast did not arise until about the 15th century and even more so developed when people started getting up early in the mornings to go to work.
Breakfast was not always the bacon and eggs that we are familiar with a lot of the time it was just fruits, nuts and bread. Items that were easily accessible and could be prepared quickly especially with limited resources.
Today, breakfast and brunch is seen as an event rather than an important meal time. More times than not people will seek out cute breakfast spots with aesthetically pleasing food that they can post on their social media… guilty.
Let’s make something together.
